Labourer / Warehouse Operatives - based in Middlewich.

Our history dates back to 1874 when manufacturing first began in Northwich and were acquired by Tata Chemicals in 2005. By 2011 we had also acquired British Salt, the UK's leading manufacturer of pure dried vacuum salt products, based in Middlewich. It is for this site in Middlewich that we are seeking experienced Labourers / Warehousing experience.

Job Purpose:
Working as a flexible team, day team members maybe required to undertake general FLT duties including the movement of packaging materials and finished goods around the site, loading and unloading of all vehicle types, cleaning duties and packing of 10kg loads on manual pack lines.
Day team members also provide cover for shift FLT loaders and other warehousing roles as required, following a period of training and validation, therefore flexibility is a key requirement.

Accountabilities include but are not limited to:
Operating all equipment efficiently to the required quality and quantity and in compliance with company policies and procedures. This may include FLT driving and the operation of automated and manual machinery such as pack lines.
Proactively identify and report problems and where appropriate implement actions to resolve in a safe and timely manner.
Contribute to continuous improvement and training activities as required.
Carry out routine checks and record and report details.
Report all relevant production data, Quality, Logs and events in appropriate format, detail and accuracy within company systems (SAP, Databases, Logsheets/Logbooks etc).
Comply with the companies SHEQ standards applicable to all tasks undertaken.

Skills and Qualifications:
Essential:
Demonstrate flexibility and good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, managers & customers.
Desirable:
GCSE English & Mathematics/NVQ level 2 in Warehouse and storage.
Valid counterbalance FLT licence,
Strong background in Logistics and Packaging in a fast moving Warehouse Operation
