Brief details of Position: My client is currently looking for a temp - perm Junior Accounts Assistant to provide support to the Finance department
The role requires the ability to work under pressure with a logical/organised approach to tasks in hand to meet deadlines, including the following:
- To print out invoices received in daily inbox and sort into categories ready for processing
- To sort and stamp post received ready for processing
- To assist with processing of purchase ledger invoices and credit notes onto the system
- To pass manual invoices to relevant Contract Managers for authorisation
- To chase Managers to authorise their invoices in a timely manner
- To liaise with Suppliers/Sub-contractors as and when required
- To assist with processing of cheque requisitions and new supplier forms
- To deal with queries as and when required
- General Admin tasks including photocopying, scanning and filing
- Any other ad hoc duties as requested by the Finance Manager to ensure the smooth running of the department
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 1 years experience in a Purchase Ledger environment is desirable but not essential
- Must have a minimum of 3 GCSE grades, or equivalent, including Maths and English
- Smart appearance and excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritise workload and have a logical and organised approach to the tasks in hand
- Good communication skills
- Self-motivated, calm manner and able to work under pressure
- Must be computer literate including Excel, Word and Outlook
