Our client is an integrated facilities management services who provide the solutions, support, and facilities management services and they are looking for an IT Trainer to be based in Surbiton, Surrey.

Job Purpose:

  • The IT Trainer will provide high quality standard and customised training of IT products, services, and processes in a number of formats including classroom, one to one and remote webinars to employees and clients at all levels
  • The IT Trainer will be responsible for creating, maintaining and delivering training materials for existing systems, as well as any new systems introduced to the business
  • Working Hours: 09:00 - 17:00

Duties:

  • Responsible for creating, maintaining and delivering engaging training materials, including the writing and updating of internal and external training collateral and materials used in the IT training syllabus (including user guides, e-learning courses and reference guides)
  • Provide standard and customised training (e.g. for customer specific configurations) and awareness of products, services, and processes in the required format (e.g. classroom, one to one or remote webinars
  • To administer tests and assessments following course completion
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate training records, including the management of requests for support and training and course bookings
  • Will work closely with the IT Service Delivery and PMO Teams to identify training needs and deliver this within an agree timescale, including participating in all training aspects of project roll-outs and account mobilisations
  • Striving for continuous improvement through regular feedback following course completion, and evaluating the effectiveness of training provided, looking at ways to improve
  • Provides reporting on upcoming and delivered training courses, exams, and feedback received, to the Head of IT Service Delivery on a monthly basis
  • Auditing employee IT skills and confirming adherence to training provided at client sites following training, to ensure that the highest standards are met and maintained
  • Responsible for capturing actions, recommendations and activity requirements following a training course, and ensuring that the relevant IT Business Partner is informed in a timely manner so they can follow-u

  • Experience in using Microsoft Office, Office 365, e-learning tools such as Adobe Captivate or Active Presenter, and project management tools such as Microsoft Project or SmartSheet would be advantageous
  • A relevant qualification, TAP accreditation or relevant experience would be advantageous

Other factors relevant to the job:

  • Will work from home, but travel will be required around the UK to support the scheduled training courses
  • It is recognised that this role may require some out of hours working from time to time
  • UK-wide travel may be required, although the majority of travel will be within an assigned region - UK driving licence is essential

  • Prioritisation and planning is a key feature of this role, and the role requires that the individual should be able to manage their time to provide successful outcomes per the department KPI's

  • A relevant qualification, TAP accreditation or relevant experience would be advantageous
  • Experience of working in a facilities management or asset management environment would be advantageous
