Our client is an integrated facilities management services who provide the solutions, support, and facilities management services. They are currently looking for a IT Project Manager to be based in their Surbiton office.

Job Description

Working hours: 09:00 - 17:00

Job purpose

  • The role supports the successful delivery of projects and some change management activity within the IT department and on behalf of client services teams
  • Delivers documentation, planning and financial forecasting of project activity to stakeholders
  • Supports all areas of the IT operation and IT service delivery activity


  • Provides project management & administration support for IT projects, ie project plan creation, maintenance, allocation of resources through agreement with resource owners, liaison with external 3rd parties
  • Interfaces between IT & operational teams, during mobilisation, planning and handover phases
  • Acts as the librarian for IT project deliverables, ie PID's, business cases, proposals and other artefacts relevant to the project
  • Project budget tracking and cost re-allocations, working with the IT Administrator and IT Manager to ensure correct coding and cost allocation
  • Works with Change & Release function to ensure clear and successful outcomes
  • Uses project management tools to support business collaboration, ie MS Project or SmartSheet
  • Hosts the "Go/No Go " decisions on project stages to ensure successful outcomes
  • Utilising "OGC Prince 2" project framework to delivery projects
  • Risk Log Management (RAID) is a key feature of the role
  • Project status reporting provided to stakeholders, IT Management, and to wider IT teams at regular updates

  • Financial responsibility - Some reporting of project financial information required

Person Specification:

  • The role requires a practitioner or foundation knowledge of OGC Prince 2 project management methodology
  • A patient and "customer first" manner essential for this role, and being prepared to go the extra mile in order to complete the task on time, and to high standard
  • Prioritisation and planning is a key feature of this role, and the role requires that the individual should be able to manage their time to provide successful outcomes per the department KPI's
  • A proactive and "can do" approach is key to the successful outcome for the department and this role.
