IT Governance Manager required to manage the Records retention within the business, leading the development and implementation of Document Creation, Retention and Disposal (DCRD) requirements. The role will advise on Information Technology, security requirements and records management issues which includes all paper and electronic records. The success full candidate will also be responsible for leading the development and implementation of processes ensuring that all aspects of personal data usage within the business is managed to ensure compliance with the General Data Protection Regulations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

Accountable for the business compliance with General Data Protection and Record retention policies

The planning of the DCRD programme rollout across the business

Development and maintenance of the Schedule of Records, ensuring that the retention requirements comply with the relevant laws, regulations and policy

Work with the responsible site person, function or team to ensure management of Documents to Records in line with Schedule of Records

Leading and planning the storing, arranging, and ensuring the correct indexing of records in order

Effective management of physical and electronic files

Implement training for significant updates to the policy and/or procedures and tools, induction training for all new employees and regular refresher training to ensure that there is a continued understanding on roles and responsibilities

Responding to internal and/or external information enquiries

Ensure compliance with Data Protection Regulations and the business policies regarding Protection of personal Data

Administration, maintenance and review of Fair Process Notices where necessary

Deliver and maintain training to ensure GDPR compliance

Provide regular briefings to Management Committee regarding status and actions regarding GDPR

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

Demonstrable In-depth knowledge, understanding and experience of records management within a business

Demonstrable In-depth knowledge, understanding and experience of General Data protection regulations

Proven programme management skills with demonstrable successfully delivery

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Access, word and Outlook

Ability to successfully build and maintain internal customer relationships

Experienced in delivering a change programme (preferably for Data protection/document retention)

Ability to influence and engage to achieve results through all levels of the organisation

Ability to work within a multi-disciplined team to meet the business goals

Ability to manage performance through others, aligned with strong delegation skills

Effective communication skills with demonstrable appropriate and measured use of communication skills

Good stakeholder management skills.

Strong self-motivational skills
