Purpose of job
Team Leader for business applications and information systems

Scope

  • Lead the Applications Team responsible for business applications, information systems and associated processes
  • Lead technical change and development initiatives to support company change programme
  • Maintenance of business applications, data and information systems
  • Point of contact for third party information systems development partners
  • Manage system documentation and training
  • Support data analytics and development of reporting tools

Reporting relationships
Reports to Head of IT

Staff responsibility
Ateam of 8 individuals, mixed permanent and contractors

DorsetInnovation Park, Winfrith

Employment status
Permanent, full time (37 hours/ week)

Knowledge, skills and personal qualities required:

  • Proven team leader with track record of leading business systems specialists
  • Strong background in IT with a specialisationin centralisedbusiness information and management systems
  • Good knowledge of ERP systems; in particular, Microsoft Dynamics AX covering core modules, processes, technologies and interfaces.E.g. MRP, PLM, CRM, HR, Warehousing, Inventory, EV etc.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint or other collaborative business systems
  • Understanding of SQL(SSRS) and Cube reporting services desirable
  • Fosters collaborative approach and stakeholder management.
  • Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude
  • Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative
  • Ability to work in matrix structure
  • Excellent communications skills at all business levels
