Job Overview Purpose

To provide the accounting function for management and statutory accounts for various Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) and Private Finance Initiative (PFI), property development and property investment companies.


  1. Please note that the responsibilities and accountabilities can vary or change from time to time based on business/project requirements.

Responsibilities of the Investment Accountant include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare management and statutory accounts for investment companies;
  • Complete and update financial models on a six-monthly basis as required by external funders;
  • Ensure compliance with all covenants and requirements set out in loan documentation;
  • Liaise with SPV team and external shareholders or joint venture partners if applicable;
  • Be an effective and knowledgeable communicator that can relate to both internal and external staff;
  • Represent the business externally to enhance the company's reputation, standing and brand;
  • Actively look inside the business for best practice and outside the business for new ideas and approaches to business;
  • Be a positive role model for how we should all live the company's Vision and Values;
  • Provide supervision, support and advice to direct reports as well as other members of the Finance team; and
  • Other ad hoc projects as required assisting Finance and other departments.

  • JOB SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE (essential)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident dealing with outside shareholders and joint venture partners
  • Ability to analyse, interpret and provide insight and commentary on financial reports
  • Knowledge of Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) and Private Finance Initiative (PFI) accounting
  • Strong ability to run complex financial models in Excel
  • Ability to analysing loan documentation
    • Experience in Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) and Private Finance Initiative (PFI) investment models and property development
  • QUALIFICATIONS (essential)

    • Qualified accountant with a UK recognised qualification - ACA, ACCA, CIMA
