Job title: Interim Management Accountant
Duration: 3 months initially
Location: Bardon, Leicestershire
Rate: On application
Due to a peak in activity within their finance team, one of our key clients is looking for an experienced Management Accountant to fulfil an interim contract in Leicestershire. This is a short term role in the Off Road finance team and will involve in assisting in all areas of the finance function to ensure the financial integrity of the Off Road contract.
You will also support the team with several projects involving documentation of current month-end and other key finance procedures and the preparation of analysis of revenue and cost variances and establish a process to make this routine.
-Prepare and develop the monthly management reporting and associated management packs
-Assisting with budgeting and forecasting
-Monitoring financial processes and controls
-Introducing improvement initiatives for financial processes
-Preparation of weekly flash information and reports
-Cash posting and reporting
-HMRC submissions including IPR/VAT & Intrastat
-Support AP/AR process
-Completion of work in progress analysis
-Presenting the financials in the monthly regional meeting and adding insight.
-Provide variance analysis and commentary on monthly results comparing with budget and latest forecast
-Produce balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring they are accurate and supportable chase and clear all old items
-Ensure accurate and timely invoicing
-Take the lead on various initiatives as part of the site team.
Qualifications and Experience
-Finalist or newly qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA
-Ability to prepare and manage budgets
-Conveys information, both verbally and in writing, in a clear, succinct and compelling manner that captures and holds attention and enhances reputation and credibility with both junior staff and senior management, both internally and externally
-Ensures customer service is celebrated and reinforced at all levels and recognises that a finance function has both internal and external customers
-Strives for process improvement and development of a strong internal control environment
-Ensures completion of tasks in a timely, efficient and effective manner
-Follows through on own commitments and builds commitment in others
-Creates a sense of ownership and accountability and stretches individuals to deliver
-An understanding of contract accounting and the engineering sector is desirable
