Integrated Business Planning Manager with Business Planning experience and Integrated Business Planning methodology framework awareness required by our Glasgow based defence client. The role will involve remote working with some time spent on site (equivalent of ca. 1 week/month, there will be flexibility on this)
The role involves but is not limited to the following:
Establish and manage the demand planning process utilising associated planning tools including consistent demand profile modelling which will result in the roll out of an Integrated Business Plan and fully resourced Master Schedule for the Site.
Manage the receipt, interpretation and distribution (as appropriate) of sensitive boat programme information and subsequent returns to develop a load following model for facilities, support functions and resources to inform strategic planning.
Produce and maintain configuration of the consolidated Integrated Business Plan and Master Schedule with agreed scenarios, ensuring capture of all underlying assumptions, caveats and demand resource profiles.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities for this role
Developing demand forecast models at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of a structured integrated demand planning process
Ensuring data integrity of the demand forecast data within the demand forecasting system Primavera
Collecting, processing and incorporating demand forecast information from a variety of sources
Having full ownership of the baseline Master Schedule, underlying assumptions (including resource models) and scenario analysis, through collaboration with Planning Managers across the business
Critical to the above will be effective communication across the various stakeholders to ensure the smooth delivery of the demand forecast
Developing monthly KPI packages and drives improvements related to demand management
Follows up with required stakeholders to resolve forecast issues and improve their accuracy
Provide facilitation and support for monthly Demand meetings across the business working closely with key stakeholders around capacity and capability planning (Strategic Workforce Planning) to better develop the understanding and execution of demand planning
Knowledge / understanding / interpretation of various planning systems & identifying the key stakeholder to liaise to get the data required to profile resource Demand/Supply. Engaging multi disciplines and specialist subject matter experts with respect to obtaining standard datasets to support process drumbeat.
Apply logical thinking to determine the requirements of the role and to proactively identify issues to Performance Review Boards in the first instance for rectification.
Works within a variety of existing processes, including Strategic Workforce Planning, as well as being pivotal in the design, development, implementation and management of Demand and Integrated Business Planning processes. These new processes are developed within the constraints of available toolkits and existing business processes.
Liaison and consultation with others at all levels to negotiate changes to existing policies and processes and where required to support new business transformation processes. All policies and processes are designed to be entirely scalable from end user to director level and require to cater for the needs of customers and stakeholders at all levels.

Project Management methodology & software (P6 / MS Project) - competent knowledge scheduling toolsets and methodologies
MS office (Word, Excel, Visio)
Integrated Business Planning methodology framework awareness
Marine Engineering / Project Planning experience / awareness
Proficient knowledge / application of ERP toolsets deemed applicable for role (IFS/SAP/Success Factors)
Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will be SC cleared or eligible for this level of clearance.
