Infrastructure Engineer (SC Cleared)

Location: Templecombe, Somerset (on site 4 days)

Duration: 12 Months

Rate: £410.00 per day (umbrella)

Our Somerset based client have an opportunity for an IT Infrastructure Engineer (SC Cleared) to join the team on an initial 12 month contract basis.

Primary Purpose of the Role:
* Responsible for building Systems IT infrastructure, configuration and installation activities on a variety of projects across the business

Responsibility:
Implementation, maintenance, optimisation and support of the organisations following hardware and software core elements:
* Microsoft and RHEL Servers - physical and virtual
* Microsoft Windows 10 client
* Hyper-V
* Storage technology
* Scripting - Powershell
* Configuration as Code - Ansible - DSC
* Networking equipment - wired and wireless
* LAN and WAN - including MPLS
* VMware - Nvidia Grid virtualisation
* Server and client operating systems configuration
* Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange
* Enterprise Endpoint Protection
* Providing 3rd level support and mentoring the less experienced members of the team
* Alignment with third-party vendors and their applicable software and hardware

**Due to the nature of the role this position will require SC Clearance**

The position will also be based on-site in Templecombe.
