The Industrialization Lead Engineer (ILE) is responsible for the analyzing and ensuring the manufacturability and testability of a product during its development phase. Defines Industrial constraints for electrical, mechanical and test engineers, and ensures that manufacturing tools and benches are ready and mature for production. Works with the product development team, test engineering, manufacturing and suppliers to ensure all issues related to production are resolved in support of on-time delivery of products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
Responsible for coordinating with the Operations team during the development phase of new products: manufacturing engineering, supplier performance, PLM and manufacturing line.
Responsible for defining manufacturing constraints for the development of IFE products, including PCBA ICT, ATP and HASS.
Responsible for writing the manufacturing plan.
Responsible for the evaluation of the recurring cost of the product. (Design To Cost)
Responsible for manufacturing prototypes.
Responsible for capital acquisition according to production forecast.
Participate with procurement in the selection and audits of manufacturing subcontractors.
Proactively identifies and resolves manufacturing issues ahead of the impact point.
Keep track of First Pass Yield and analyze failures during prototype and initial production build
Participate in Lessons Learned meetings
Lead development of Design and Process FMEA for new products
Skills: IFEproducts, including PCBA ICT, ATP and HASS.
