As a test engineer your main duties will include hydraulically pressure testing hydraulic cylinders and on occasions assembling cylinders prior to testing. The role entails setting up hydraulic cylinders on the companies in house test rig, taking measurements off the cylinders to ensure they comply with engineering drawings and pressurising the cylinders to ensure they are leak free. If a leak is found you will be responsible for identifying where the leak is originating and the corrective action required to fix this. Although training will be provided to the right candidate previous experience of working in a production environment is required.
Must have experience of working in an engineering production environment.
A good understanding of using measuring equipment.
The ability to understand and read engineering drawings.
A methodical worker with a keen eye for detail.
Training will be provided to a suitable candidate.
Wet spray painting experience would be beneficial but not essential
Previous experience with hydraulics would be beneficial but not essential.
Must be able to work to tight deadlines and high targets due to the fast paced nature of the role.

Wage dependent upon experience.
We are a well established company whom have been designing and manufacturing hydraulic cylinders from our base in Clitheroe since 1954. We supply a bespoke product for various industries and have recently moved to a more modern, efficient facility to help move the company onto the next level. We are in need of a new member of staff in our finishing area testing area in order to increase production levels and meet customer demands.
