Human Factors Engineer - Cockpit Design

Location: Warton, Duration: 12 Months, Pay Rate: Negotiable

A vacancy exists within a multinational defence, security, and aerospace company for a Human Factors Engineer to provide inputs to future cockpit design.

Key Responsibilities

The role holder will explore a number of topics in informing the design process, these include:

  • What technologies can be foreseen?
  • What capabilities will such technologies offer the pilots of the future?
  • How can one measure and adapt to the variety of influencing forces that will affect the performance of the system that the pilot is a part of?

Proven Ability

The role holder must be well versed in human factors techniques with the ability to work successfully within multi-disciplinary engineering teams - answering core design issues within the human factors context and transforming the resulting ideas into robust design solutions.

Additional Security Information

Due to the sensitive nature of the product, all applicants must have worked in the Defence industry within the last 12 months or be capable of obtaining a UK MOD Security Clearance (SC level minimum).
