Vital resources are currently working with a reputable and well established Civil Engineering and Construction contractor to assist them in appointing a new HSEQ Manager to strengthen their existing team. Our client is looking for someone who can perform the below responsibilities:

  • Actively manage HSQE on the Contracts and Projects to which appointed
  • Manage and coordinate HSQE critical documentation
  • Provide specialist advice
  • Attend Client HSQE meetings
  • Monitor and improve HSQE performance
  • Provide advice on training and development
  • Advise on matters of occupational health
  • Investigate accidents, incidents and near hits (Accountable for closure of all incidents on Intelex)
  • Manage HSQE on the Contracts and Project to which appointed (Accountable for HSQE Compliance)
  • Support and advise Regional Managers, Project Managers and Engineers as required
  • Investigate accidents, incidents and dangerous occurrences to identify root cause and recommend preventative action
  • Collate information on injuries and damage, produce monthly statistics, assess accident trends and advise Business Managers on overall safety performance

The successful applicant for this role will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Previous experience in a similar capacity
  • Nationally recognised HSQE Qualifications CMIOSH, GIOSH (working towards Chartered) or TechIOSH with specific OHL experience)
  • Engineering Qualification
  • Knowledge of ISO Management Systems
  • Good Communicator
  • Conversant with Windows software with good IT skills
  • Audit/Inspection qualification
