Job Title: HR Systems and Data Analyst
Location: Portsmouth
Duration: 11 Months
Hours: 37 per week
Pay: £15.60 per hour PAYE / £19.74 per hour LTD

We are currently recruiting for our client in Portsmouth who needs an experienced Data Analyst for a full time 11 month contract.

Job Description

The Systems and Data Analyst role is for an experienced analyst with a good understanding of the general operation of the HR function. They will display strong data analytical skills with a desire to continually improve HR policies and standards through a data driven approach.

Please note the successful candidate will need to achieve security clearance in line with customer requirements


*Support HR Governance and Reporting Lead by providing quality datasets that enable them to make recommendations or give solutions
*Disseminate complex data sets ensuring relevant information is available
*Identify and work with the HR team to resolve various HR related issues
*Liaise with other business areas and functions to develop, implement and maintain a common format for data collation, mapping and reporting
*Undertake continuous development of business systems and the data management processes
*Assist the HR team in the progression and moderation of operating policies, guidelines, and systems to encourage best practice within the company
*Carry out HR governance activities as directed by the HR Governance and Reporting Lead and HR Associate
*Carry out HR reporting and reconciliation of HR and Finance systems
*Provide data analysis support to HR Projects
*General administrative duties as required to support the HR Governance and Reporting Lead

Skills and Experience required:

*Proven experience in HR Data Analysis - Basic, counts, trending, verification and base lining of data sets
*Predictive analysis
*Basic understanding of financial processes and procedures
*Advanced Microsoft Office skills - super user of Excel
*Knowledge of HR database technologies, design and implementation, database management and administration
*HR Report design
*Knowledge of system configuration
*A degree in computer engineering or maths/numeracy or equivalent experience would be an advantage
