HR/Recruitment Advisor (Agency Implant)

Job Purpose:

To proactively manage and co-ordinate all recruitment campaigns for our client at our client at the clients Capenhurst site.


Proactively manage and co-ordinate all recruitment campaigns for our client, ensuring a timely, fair and effective process.

Identify, recommend and implement improvements to the recruitment process to ensure quality hires, improve time to recruit and deliver a positive candidate experience.

Register vacancy, Log CVs and record vacancy progress.

Stakeholder management - ensure HRBP's, HRA's and Line managers are aware of and kept up to date with recruitment activity, chasing line managers for outstanding actions/feedback as required.

Meet with hiring manager to fully understand requirements, including supporting the development of person spec, advising and challenging expectations where required supported by good knowledge of local/relevant candidate market

Co-ordinate Advertisement of role including creation and issuing of Internal Vacancy notices, uploading to the Clients Intranet and websites and initiating external advertising.

Shortlist with recruitment manager and record outcome of shortlisting, justifications and provide feedback.

Work with hiring manager to advise on, develop and deliver appropriate assessment techniques including;

  1. Interview questions
  2. Exercises
  3. Aptitude Test
  4. Assessment Centre

Arrange interviews, including identifying interview dates based on manager and candidate availability, booking rooms, and booking candidates in at reception.

Create interview packs (job description, interview questions, CV's) and also the assessment centre packs if applicable (schedule, job description, exercise info, CV's SAQ's etc.)

Meet and greet candidates for interview and escort them to interview room.

Attend interviews panel and advise managers on recruitment process / take notes, recording outcome and justification of decision.

Organise and facilitate testing, exercises and assessment centres where applicable.

Contact successful and unsuccessful candidate and coordinate feedback.

Prepare offers for presenting to HRBP / Adviser, plus enclosures e.g. new starter forms, personal detail forms.

Arrange checks

  1. Pre-employment medical / Drug and Alcohol / Medical Questionnaire
  2. Liaise direct with Clients provider (RPS) to arrange time, date and location.
  3. Issue Security Packs

Ensure regular contact with candidate throughout recruitment process, explaining processes incl. security process etc.

Chase / track all pre-employment checks.

Confirm start date with candidate in writing and instructions for day 1.

Maintain / cleanse recruitment and selection records and update systems / tracker.

Person Specification

CIPD Qualified to level 3 or 5 or working towards or relevant equivalent recruitment qualification.

Experience of working in a recruitment or HR role.

A good understanding of relevant employment law, to ensure a fair and legally compliant recruitment process.

Able to confidently work across all levels of the business and with external contacts, challenging and advising stakeholders as required.

Excellent interpersonal skills.
