HR Shared Service Team Leader

To manage the performance of a team of HR Coordinators delivering day to day customer services to employees. Provide high quality and consistent advice and support in a cost effective and efficient way, to positively impact on customer effectiveness, efficiency and confidence. To supervise the administration of the end to end HR transactional activities associated with the employment cycle. To actively engage and drive the continuous improvement of the team.

Duties of the role will include:

* Ensure an efficient and effective service is delivered that enhances the team's reputation
* Build strong and valuable relationships with senior managers and members of the People Leadership team
* Develop and maintain a close relationship with the Payroll team to ensure interfaces are carried out in an organised manner
* Ensure that all employee lifecycle processes are in place and are dealt with correctly, effectively and efficiently
* Ensure that People policies and procedures are updated on a regular basis in line with statutory and business changes
* Ownership of the intranet ensuring that the information is up to date and easy to access
* Handling first line employee relations issues and other generalist procedures as and when required
* In partnership with People Business Partner team continue to develop, analyse and report on key people metrics

To be considered for the role you will have the following skills and experience:

* Experience of managing, coaching and supporting a HR Shared Service function
* Ability to act strategically when required and be innovative in approach
* Ability to deal with conflict and challenging situations
* Substantial up to date knowledge of employment law
* Knowledge of dealing with first line employee relations issues including sickness management, grievance, disciplinary, capability, terms and conditions of employment and change management
* Experience of process improvement
* Awareness of data protection (GDPR) legislation
* Experience of reporting and analysing employee data
* Advance knowledge of Excel
