As a member of the HR Senior Leadership team, the HR Operations Manager will lead and manage a team to provide an excellent HR Operational and HR transactional service to the business. You will work closely with the Head of HR to ensure all HR operational activity is aligned to the HR Strategy.

The role will lead a high performing HR team providing a collaborative, value adding service across the business.

Responsibility for all HR administration processes (management and analysis of) to include recognition awards, sickness recording, exit interviews, recruitment co-ordination issuing offer letters and on boarding / off boarding processes

Ensuring that HR policies, procedures and forms are kept up to date, compliant with relevant legislation, understood and applied consistently across the business

Lead on preparing HR KPI metric reporting, headcount dashboard and monthly ASEA reporting

Improve leadership skills by developing local and rolling out Aerospace leadership training. Anticipated that circa 30% of the working week will be allocated to training either formally or informal coaching

Deliver and co-ordinate all HR operational activity in the annual calendar within the defined timescales to include:

Annual pay review processes
Short term Incentive plan
Salary reviews and bench marking
Lead for Group Income Protection and Ill Health Retirement processes
Undertake annual TNA and co-ordinate learning and development activity ensuring the LMS is kept up to date
Lead the development of HR Information System, working closely with HR colleagues, line managers and employees to maximise the benefits of the system by ensuring that it is fully embedded into local processes and that all user are appropriately trained driving process optimization and automation

Lead on the Learning and Development offering (leadership and management development) and associated policies
Ensure an effective on-boarding and off-boarding processes and work closely with Aerospace HR HUB to provide guidance on recruitment and selection strategies.
Ensure that employees records and files are accurately updated and compliant with GDPR regulations
Manage the Certificate of Sponsorships and Licences in relation to work permits and visas
Work in close partnership with Payroll Manager to ensure employees are paid timely and accurately, with responsibility for signing off monthly payroll
Ensure a robust corporate and local induction process for new starters and that feedback is actively sought from new starters to make improvements
Coach, mentor and develop the HR administration team, encouraging their ongoing professional development


- CIPD Level 7

- Chartered Fellow CIPD

Specific Functional Capability, Knowledge and Skills Required;

- Strong HR systems knowledge
- Professional and flexible in approach
- Clear communication skills, delivering accurate, timely and commercial advice
- Excellent attention to detail and organisation skills
- Must possess a solid understanding of UK employment law, to include GDPR
- Demonstrated experienced of leading a busy customer focused, resulted orientated team
- Demonstrable experience of process improvements

- Experience of automating processes

Ability to travel to other sites
