Purpose of role:

The HR Data Analyst role is critical to the success of the Project, with sole responsibility for providing advanced analysis of our people data to inform and drive decision making and to shape the future of the organisation. You will work with a wide range of stakeholders to scope and perform advanced HR analytics relating to the People Management and any other key indicators of interest to the Project and business. You will drive Project success by seeking further insights.

Technical Skills

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel data manipulation and formulae

Excellent data presentation and visualisation skills

Strong ability to interpret requirements and to analyse raw data, with an eye for trends and patterns

Knowledge of HR systems and processes advantageous

Tasks and Activities:

Ownership of centralised Project data, maintaining, developing and creating master data sources and reports

Ownership of and input into various reports both within the Project and in the wider business in line with current and future business requirements

Direct interface with key stakeholders to ensure collation and accuracy of data inputs, creating and issuing templates to support standardisation and data quality

Supporting HR Governance team by ensuring accuracy and integrity of data received and issued

Extracting and analysing data from SuccessFactors, our People Data system

Key Accountabilities:

Accountable for the maintenance of centralised Project master data and reporting

Providing an excellent data analysis service as SME within the Project, ensuring key messaging and analysis is shared with key stakeholders

Maintain and improve current schedule of data management activities in line with Business and Project requirements to ensure timely delivery of accurate and rich management information

Delivers continuous improvement activities to improve data sourcing, analysis and presentation.


Project status & performance reporting at a Team, business and corporate level

Data analysis and management related reports & activities

Development of future reporting and monitoring documents/toolsets as required

Providing 'what if' scenarios

Strong IT ability with an analytical and operational focus, well organised and capable of building processes and systems

Gathers, analyses and reviews data to create rich information, enabling Project success and business decisions

Fast paced Project environment with high standards of reporting and data analysis

Ability to identify & action opportunities to add value and implement changes, driving standardisation and improvement to current processes

Understands HR policies, employment practices and TU relationships and can identify and, where appropriate, resolve potential conflict in order to make changes.

Industry Knowledge:

Practical and business proven track record (evidence of)

Experience working within an HR and/or Project role highly desirable


Relevant data analysis experience and/or qualifications

CIPD Qualification desirable
