HR Data Analyst; Glasgow; 6 months, £15.80 ph. paye; Inside IR35
We are currently looking for a HR Data Analyst to work with a team based at the BAE Systems ScotstounData
Purpose of the role
Works with a wide range of stakeholders to scope and perform advanced HR analytics relating to People
Management and any other key HR indicators of interest to the business.
Is responsible for analysing and evaluating data and reports, feeding back the findings to relevant
stakeholders; and advising on changes and improvements.
Creates and delivers presentations and training across the business when required.
Core Duties
Has ownership of centralised People Management data and accurate production of all required reports, displayed in appropriate formats, to agreed timescales
Maintains, develops and streamlines existing master data sources and reports through engagement
Acts as a direct interface with key stakeholders to ensure collation and accuracy of data inputs, creating and issuing templates, where required, to support standardisation and data quality
Analyses and presents data and reports to the appropriate area of expertise, identifying errors and advising on solutions
Extracts and analyses data from various People Data systems
Provides an excellent data analysis service as SME within project streams, ensuring key messaging and analysis is shared with key stakeholders
Maintains and improves current schedule of data management activities in line with Business and project requirements to ensure timely delivery of accurate and rich management information
Delivers continuous improvement activities to improve data sourcing, analysis and presentation Ensures functional compliance with GDPR responsibilities

Strong communication skills with the ability to distil key messages through reports and updates to
stakeholders

Works collaboratively across teams and a wide range of stakeholders, developing productive relationships as part of their day to day
A desire to develop by supporting the HR function in a wider range of activities as and when required
Strong IT ability with an analytical and operational focus, well organised and capable of building processes and systems
Strong project management skills, with ability to own and manage report framework delivery and timescales
Gathers, analyses and reviews data to create rich information, enabling effective business decisions
Fast paced project environment with high standards of reporting and data analysis
Ability to identify & action opportunities to add value and implement changes, driving standardisation and improvement to current processes
Understands HR policies, employment practices and TU relationships and can identify and, where appropriate, resolve potential conflict in order to make changes
Skills:
IT literate on all Microsoft applications, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
Strong skills in Business Intelligence toolsets (such as Tableau, Microsoft BI, Excel, Alteryx, etc)
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel data manipulation and formulae
Excellent data presentation and visualisation skills
Strong ability to interpret requirements and to analyse raw data, with an eye for trends and patterns
Knowledge of HR systems and processes advantageous
Experience in data warehouse technology desirable
Qualifications:
Relevant data analysis experience and/or qualifications
CIPD Qualification desirable
Relevant data quality and data governance experience and/or qualifications
