Role profile

You will be responsible for the changes to employee's electronic services records on HR information systems (iTrent). Also be able to offer an effective support service to end users of the iTrent system within the HR community and undertake any project work within the team and work under minimal supervision.

Your responsibilities

  • Ensure data entered in a timely manner in association with payroll cut-off dates
  • Excellent quality of input
  • Accuracy and timeliness of requests to non-batched reports
  • Manage HR Data Team inbox on rota
  • Knowledge of department structures
  • Accurate data entry and alignment of iTrent positions with organisational structures
  • Audit trail for each transaction, in line with corporate standards
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Attendance at and contribution to meetings as required by Senior HR Data specialist and HR Data Manager
  • Training of HR Community on iTrent systems i.e. iTrent, myDetails, people Manager

Knowledge & Experience

  • Data entry changes to employee electronic records including new starters, absence and leavers etc
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to problem solve and interpret varying types of people related information
  • Plan, organise and prioritise workload on daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis
  • Liaison with Payroll and I.T Support Team to resolve queries
  • Manage operational changes to the company structure
  • Assisting with HR teams with iTrent queries in constructive and timely manner
  • Design and deliver iTrent training to new HR data specialists ensuring end users are fully competent with the system
  • To advise and support the wider HR community with access to the HR system
  • Contribute to the development of iTrent modules and associated users user acceptance testing
  • Ad hoc project work


  • Previous data entry experience using HR Information systems (essential)
  • High attention to detail, accuracy and speed of input (essential)
  • Excellent customer service skills (essential)
  • Demonstrable planning and prioritising skills (desirable)
  • Strong communicator both verbally and in writing
  • Aptitude to learn new systems
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Strong team player
