My client is a global leader in engineering and due to continued success are currently looking for an HR Business Partner for their facility in Somerset.

You will be providing the key interface for managers with the aim of influencing, shaping, facilitating and addressing HR matters. Working closely with other HR Business Partners to ensure consistency of approach across the organisation where appropriate and driving change and increased effectiveness across functions

You will:

*Ensure manpower resourcing needs are identified and delivered to ensure the right mix and balance of resource in the context of the business requirement.
*Ensure the implementation of recruitment decisions to satisfy requirements as well as deliver business targets against budget, supported by the resourcing function.
*Critically review organisation structures and influence their shape to deliver greater business efficiency or effectiveness supported by organisation design experts where necessary.
*Provide the organisation with a professional level of knowledge, skill and expertise embracing all aspects of the products and services provided by the HR Department.
*Support with employee satisfaction, performance, retention and effective communication at sites
*Support the ER agenda and lead / support relationships and key processes with unions at sites
*Ensure employee performance management (sickness, discipline, grievance) is robustly supported
*Act as an advisor to managers to support compliance with HR policies
*Support the site leaders to deliver the strategic business plan
*Support leaders and managers to develop people management capabilities
*Coordinate with the Senior HR Business Partner to implement HR solutions that meet the distinctive business challenges and need.
*Use workforce data and apply analytical skills to formulate people insights and recommendations
*Following defined processes, provide people and workforce related advice, strategies, and solutions related to workforce planning, recruitment, learning and development, performance management, compensation and succession planning
*Provide accurate and timely information and data to managers and employees on individual contracts, HR policies, processes, procedures etc.
*Support managers to manage data, ensure data quality and deliver HR processes along the HR life cycle (e.g. bonus and merit review, Talent Management, Development Reviews).

You should have:

*Education to degree level or equivalent.
*Ideally CIPD qualified to level 5, or willing to work towards.
*An understanding of how to build organisational capability through effective talent management, succession planning and learning and development.
*A track record of leading and effecting organisational change, including TUPE.
*Experience of the credibility to interface at senior management level.
*Experience of working with Trade Unions.
*Excellent relationship and rapport building skills with internal and external contacts at any level.
*Good knowledge of employment law.
*Ability to travel overseas.
*Evidence of continual professional development.
