I am currently recruiting a HR Advisor to be the principle HR contact, working as part of the wider HR Team in providing guidance to line managers and employees on following Company policies and procedures, ensuring consistency of approach in HR Practice across the business.

Post holder will role model in delivering the core values in delivering first line generalist HR advice and support to the business as required. The role will be based at the Leyland site with requirement to travel to other sites when the needs of the business dictates.

Key accountabilities:

* Be the first point of call for HR generalist advice
* Keep abreast of payroll, pension and benefits processes ensuring ability to cover in periods of absence
* Collate, analyse and report on people data as required
* End to end case management of employee relations matters as allocated within the team (includes absence management, disciplinary, capability LTS, grievance)
* Support and drive the effectiveness of the recruitment process overseeing administration and contributing to selection processes as required
* Support the delivery of the induction and new starter on boarding, including administration, ensuring a great candidate experience and continuous improvement approach
* Co-ordinate people management activities ensuring the consistent delivery of the Employee experience and policy adherence
* Ensure new appointments fit within the developed framework challenging where necessary to ensure business headcount is accurate
* Proactively support and attend nominated communication groups, encouraging effective communication
* Support HR Manager in roll out of HR policies and any HR and business projects


Key skills and experience:

* CIPD qualification level 5
* Proven experience of working at HR Advisor level in a busy HR environment
* At least 2 years working in HR within a fast pace business e.g. FMCG or Retail
* Experience of using a HR time and attendance system
* Experience in a standalone HR role as part of a multi-site business
* Up to date knowledge of employment law
