HR Advisor; 8 week contract; Cowes; £13.00 per hour

We are looking to recruit an HR Advisor to work for a manufacturing company based on the Isle of Wight to provide a generalist HR service to all aspects of the business. The jobholder will ensure that the HR service level agreement is maintained and that HR are fully engrossed as key partners in the business.

Duties will involve;
- Facilitates and acts as key contact for recruitment for the Operational or Engineering or other departments, advising Managers on advertising, recruitment and interview methods
- Assist the recruiting manager with first round interviews for all roles.
- Raises offer letters and terms and conditions of employment, for new and existing staff as required, ensuring that all offers have been fully approved.
- Produces paperwork / letters etc on personnel issues as requested by the HR Manager.
- Attends disciplinary, grievance or other meetings as requested by the HR Manager.
- Advises all employees on matters of policy and employment law, raising any concerns immediately with the HR Manager.
- Supports Operational or Engineering or other Managers with apprentices ensuring they are managed and that development reviews are carried out and progressed within the scope of the apprenticeship.
- Maintains long term sick record and assists HR Manager with absence management, including attending absence meetings, compiling data on ad hoc sick days and producing reports as detailed by HR Manager for KPI's.
- Carries out exit interviews for all Operational or Engineering or other staff below grade F highlighting any areas of concern with the HR Manager.
- Attends Disciplinary / Grievance or other hearings as minute taker and as required by the HR Manager.
- Is key contact within HR for Pension information or Maternity, Paternity, Parental Leave.
- Maintains appropriate confidentiality at all times.

The successful candidate will have previous HR experience ideally gained within a manufacturing environment. You will have excellent communication skills and the confidence to liaise with people at all levels.

Working hours are 8am - 4.30pm (Mon-Thurs) and 7.45am - 12.45pm on Friday
