My client one of Britain's largest family owned building and civil engineering companies are looking for an HR Administrator to support their Human Resources department.

Your main administrative duties will include maintaining personnel records, managing HR documents (e.g. employment records and on boarding guides) and updating internal databases. The ideal candidate has experience with HR procedures and can work on various administrative tasks in a timely manner.


  • Organising and maintaining personnel records
  • Updating internal databases (e.g. record sick or maternity leave)
  • Preparing HR documents, like employment contracts and new hire guides
  • Revision of company policies
  • Liaising with external partners and ensure legal compliance
  • Answering employees queries about HR-related issues
  • Assisting payroll department by providing relevant employee information (e.g. leaves of absence, sick days and work schedules)
  • Arranging travel accommodations and processing expense forms
  • Participating in HR projects


  • Previous data entry experience using HR Information systems (essential)
  • Very good Excel skills
  • High attention to detail, accuracy and speed of input (essential)
  • Excellent customer service skills (essential)
  • Demonstrable planning and prioritising skills (desirable)
  • Strong communicator both verbally and in writing
  • Aptitude to learn new systems
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
