I am delighted to be supporting my World Class Client the recruitment for a Sales Executive to be based in Manchester.


The main purpose of this role is to increase sales revenue via the identification of new, repeat and potential sales opportunities, whilst proactively sourcing and researching new business to drive the sale of Conferences, Meetings and Events.

Key Responsibilities:

* Meet and exceed sales targets set via project KPI's e.g. revenue target, number of calls per day, number of appointments made per week
* Ensure that all sales enquiries are handled within sales guidelines and enquiry handling standards
* Ensure that all telephone calls (in and out bound) are handled in a timely and professional manner
* Produce a P&L for every sale to ensure profit margins are maximised
* Research and establish new target markets & business streams in line with departmental objectives
* Effective communication with clients throughout the booking process to ensure full understanding and management of client requirements and identification of further opportunities
* Work closely with the Event Co-Ordination Team to ensure that all client details and requirements are passed over once the sale of the event and facility has been carried out
* Lead the follow up process for large marketing campaigns/activity
* Work with other venue sales teams to identify cross selling and lead generation opportunities
* Ensure clean and accurate records are held according to systems requirements
* Assist with the production of sales reports and team activity reports as required
* Increase knowledge within the conference & events market by attending networking events as and when required

Experience required:

* Demonstrable and proven track record in exceeding sales targets within a pro-active B2B sales role
* Knowledge of the conference & events industry - essential
* Sound experience in dealing with and prospecting major clients
* Experience of proactive quality telephone calling in a telesales capacity, including appointment setting
* Prior face to face client meetings experience, including conversion of sales at appointment stage
* Skilled in the operation and utilisation of CRM database systems
* Ability to develop and produce concise and focused sales proposals that demonstrate a clear and accurate understanding of the client's needs and an attention to detail
* Creative thinker who can influence and persuade others to his/her point of view but knows when to compromise
* Sound personal qualities such as communication skills, the ability to work and contribute positively to a team environment, and the ability to work well under pressure
* Self-motivated, determined, and enthusiastic with a passion for exceeding personal and team goals and objectives.
