Here's what you will be doing:
This is an exciting new opportunity, ideally suited to an experienced Supply Chain professional with a background in manufacturing. Reporting to our Sales & Marketing Director we are looking for a Leader who can provide a hands on approach to developing and leading a cohesive, highly responsive, Supply Chain function, incorporating Customer Service, Production Planning and Logistics.

You will:

Develop and manage the overall Customer Service, Commercial/Production Planning & Logistics strategy, ensuring tie-in with Operations in order to maximize customer satisfaction, process efficiency and productivity.

Play a crucial role in developing and maintaining strong relationships with vendors, partners and distributors.

Develop a clear understanding of customer cost to serve, utilising the information to drive efficiencies and/or additional value.

Promote and develop tight integration between planning, logistics and other operations areas to optimise performance in schedule attainment, adherence and on time delivery.

Determine key Supply Chain KPIs, identify bottlenecks and drive solutions for process improvements.

Support and drive digitalisation and automation initiatives to improve customer service levels and efficiency.

Guide Information System strategy and development for Supply Chain Operations, including ERP, WMS, Forecasting and Transportation Management.

Align development plans for team managers to the functional plans to create structure, accountability, responsibility and focus.

Collaborate with our Finance, Procurement, Operations, Quality & Sales teams.

What kind of person are we looking for?

Someone with a passion for people as well as process. An engaging people leader who drives the required behaviors and takes pride in identifying and developing people of potential.

From a technical perspective you should:

Have experience of delivering best practice across Customer Service and Logistics.

Have excellent communication and presentation skills and be able to articulate a big picture vision, break it down into deliverable elements and see it through to completion

Have proven experience of change management and digital transformation.

Be process orientated, IT/system savvy and be comfortable with Big Data concepts.

Have a general awareness of business processes and interactions across Procurement, Production, Finance and Sales.
