My client is currently looking for a Head of Programme Suppport (Land) to be based in London with local/home working on a contract or permanent basis.
To use leadership and technical expertise to develop processes and procedures and support colleagues by sharing adopting and championing best practice through continuous improvement of business processes ensuring consistency of application and approach.
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders,
Represent the Agency internally and externally, at regional and national events as required.
To deliver any other duties which are commensurate with the post.
Working Relationships and Contacts Outline the important relationships that the jobholder must maintain and the sort of issues that must be communicated on and/or engaged with
Excellent working relationship with Regional Directors (and their management teams), Head of Land (and management team) and with colleagues in Finance and Performance and Systems support
Must be capable of utilising these relationships to seek feedback on the service provided, manage resources and to implement continuous development of the service provided
The provision of Management information to DCLG will also be required but at a national level this must be done in full collaboration with the national land team.
Key contact for internal and NAO (external audit and VFM studies (with PAC follow-up, where necessary).
Role Requirements Qualifications
Degree level qualification and/or appropriate professional qualifications/membership
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
A strong awareness and understanding of the key current Government policies and priorities on housing and the contribution of delivering these
Experience of successfully managing and integrating teams in different geographical locations
Good understanding of government accounting principles (Capital/Resource DEL)
Demonstrable experience of developing best practice procedures and policies to deliver effective programme management and reporting on complex land and property based programmes/projects.
Successful experience of stakeholder management with evidence of managing a fast paced service with competing priorities.
Must be able to demonstrate the ability to standardise and streamline processes whilst maintaining internal controls and integrity of data
Strong track record of establishing and developing teams
