I am excited to be partnering with a large UK enterprise who employ over 3,000 people across several office locations. My client has ambitious growth plans and fulfil this growth, they are embarking on lots of HR change.

The Head of Organisation Design & Change will lead the translation of the business mission and strategy into a Target Operating Model and : global organisation structure. This role will be responsible for the diagnosis, design, delivery and deployment of global organisation design initiatives which will enhance both operating effectiveness and productivity.

Reporting into the Head of Business Transformation, this role will also lead the build of business capabilities in the areas of organisational and process design, team effectiveness and change management to deliver continuous improvement in effectiveness and agility across the organisation.

Your accountabilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of the business target operating model so that the 'traditional thinking' is challenged and innovation pursued

  • Work with the Executive Team to 'scenario plan' for longer term organisation design thinking

  • Develop and engage the business in a compelling and ethical Organisational Design vision that enables the organisation to achieve its mission
  • Develop OD frameworks for the business and embed the operating model and deliver improvements in org efficiency and effectiveness, by using organisation design theories to create design principles fit for purpose.
  • Implement and manage effective governance to support evolution of OD and control changes to organisation structures.
  • Evaluate, and where appropriate change the underlying processes, organisational principles, org structure and roles and responsibilities to ensure they are effective in delivering the business mission and strategy
  • Understand how information and data flows through the organisation and effectively facilitates decision making and achieves higher level of performance
  • Support redesign of job framework, role profiles, capability frameworks etc.
  • Work with the Heads of People and Head of Learning and Development to support capability assessment and people mapping to the future organisation design
  • Work with the Change Lead to determine the deployment approach, a collective change management model and governance is adopted to maximise the benefits and maintain engagement levels.

Suitable candidates will have a track record of working in Head of OD / OD Director roles in large scale organisations. This role will be leading a team and influencing decisions as board level, candidates must be able to articulate similar experience / examples.

This role is based in the Manchester area and is paying a base salary of up to £130,000 pa + benefits. My client is open to this role being offered on a permanent, fixed term or temporary basis depending on experience.
