I am excited to be partnering with a large UK enterprise who employ over 3,000 people across several office locations. My client has ambitious growth plans and fulfil this growth, they are embarking on lots of HR change.

Reporting into the Head of L&D, this newly created role will be responsible for driving thought leadership, strategic direction and implementation of group-wide culture and engagement interventions. Specifically, the focus is designing, implementing and evolving interventions that shape and shift the culture to deliver on the business strategy and our cultural aspiration.

Your accountabilities:

  • Design, develop and implement group-wide culture strategies that drive towards delivering on the strategy yet are tailored and impactful for different areas and audiences across the business
  • Take a systemic view of culture change beyond the core 'people' systems ensuring we embedded across all levers, including operating models, organisational design, governance and decision-making, strategic planning, affordable cost base and change & communications frameworks
  • Current and future state culture review and assessment, identification of strengths and gaps and drivers to develop the culture both from an external best practice perspective and within the broader business context
  • Influence, educate and manage key stakeholders including the Board and Senior Leadership teams across the business.
  • Work with the Head of L&D to develop and lead the Diversity and Inclusion strategy for the business
  • Develop strategies and initiatives that drive people engagement and high performance ensuring that leaders understand the motivational drivers in their teams
  • Drive a collaborative approach to internal communication which reflects a modern, consistent, and engaging approach to embedding the values and culture
  • Lead and manage a team of senior OD professionals, extended & virtual team members as well as contractors and independent consultants for the delivery of the culture and engagement agenda
  • Manage budgets in line with expectations and governance requirement

Suitable candidates will have a track record of working in Senior level D&I, Engagement and Culture roles in large scale organisations. This role will be leading a team and influencing decisions as board level, candidates must be able to articulate similar experience / examples.

This role is based in the Manchester area and is paying a base salary of up to £100,000 pa + benefits. My client is open to this role being offered on a permanent, fixed term or temporary basis depending on experience.
