Our client are a statutory corporation who oversees and regulates all aspects of their industry.

They are currently looking to recruit a Head of Continuous Improvement who will create, lead and sustain a team of high performance change agents who support and deliver improvement initiatives throughout the organisation.

You will report into the Portfolio Delivery function and will work with senior stakeholders across the business to build a licence to operate through the delivery of instances of best practice that builds people capabilities, creates 'go see opportunities' and yields tangible business improvements.

This role and its reports are pivotal to instilling a culture of customer service by developing their people to continuously improve their processes and ways of working.

No two days will be the same in this role as you will have the autonomy to work across every part of this interesting business to build and deliver a strategic vision that delivers performance and quality improvement whilst building team capabilities.

- Be a credible Lean / Six Sigma Expert who has a consistent track record in delivering strategic continuous improvement initiatives within a complex business environment (preferably a Master Black Belt you will still be considered with a Black Belt and a stable history of delivery)

- Have a track history in assessing improvement and operations management capability in order to develop an operational excellence strategy that incorporates both process transformation and continuous improvement in ear area across a business

- Ideally you will come from either a manufacturing or service background but can also have moved between the two. It is recognised that there is value that can be added from all backgrounds

- Have the ability to gain credibility as a leader of continuous improvement initiatives and engage, influence and be a great partner at all levels within the organisation - we are looking for someone who can gain trust and lead diverse, cross functional teams so it's extremely important that you have strong engagement and influencing skills.

In return for the above you can expect an excellent working environment with a varied and interesting workload. You will receive a basic salary between £75,000 and £85,000, a good pension scheme, private medical and dental insurance, 28 days leave rising to 33 with length of service (there is also the option to buy 5 additional days) and a host of other flexible benefits.
