To provide effective team leadership for the development and delivery of all Technical Services activities (work instructions), whilst maximising operational efficiency and minimising costs.
Through the effective utilisation of Hawk subject matter knowledge and experience, able to lead and manage a team / number of teams of skilled and knowledgeable personnel, to deliver fit for purpose Technical Services at strategic and tactical levels.
The role holder may be required to carry out additional or alternative tasks from time to time, subject to holding the appropriate qualifications.
The role holder should demonstrate:
Strong quantitative, analytical and project management skills/experience, with Lean management principles.
Good team leadership knowledge and skills.
Effective, highly credible communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
Detailed Hawk product knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of the relationship with interfacing / contributory areas.

Comprehensive understanding of current IT software packages used within the Technical Services discipline.
Good understanding of Project Management techniques.
Good ability to build strong relationships with Customers, Part 145 Organisation (s), OEMs, Suppliers and other key stakeholders.
Good level of English, written and verbal
Cultural awareness and understanding (country and customer)
The post will be established in Qatar at a suitable time to ensure the mobilization and implementation of the CAMSS for Day 1.
Technical Services Team Leader - Hawk Aircraft role includes:
As an experienced Hawk specialist apply subject matter expertise within and across a professional specialist subject area. Self-sufficient in all aspects of Technical Services. Provides specialist knowledge and understanding of Technical Services to enable analysis and resolution of problems and issues.
Lead and manage the production and delivery of the technical content of work instructions to enable defects and damage to be rectified to an officially recognised standard.
Lead and manage the production and delivery of the technical content of work instructions to enable the accomplishment of all maintenance in accordance with the Operator Maintenance Programme.
Lead and manage the analysis of all applicable airworthiness instructions and drive their accomplishment within the applicable timescales. Ensure any identified issues are assessed, generate effective resolution, or sponsor escalation to management, as appropriate.
Lead and manage the assessment and accomplishment of non-mandatory requirements i.e. the evaluation of manufacturers' proposals, including new maintenance requirements, for fleet inclusion.
Lead and manage the assessment, coordination of approval and accomplishment of operator modification requirements.
At a tactical level, lead and manage the Technical Services interface with Design Organisations and OEMs, Maintenance Tasking & Verification, Part 145 organisation(s), Reliability & Maintenance Programmes and all other key stakeholders, in order to deliver the required standards of Continuing Airworthiness and contract delivery.
Manage and report on the effectiveness of Technical Enquiry management, including feedback to Design Organisations and Suppliers, across all responsible maintenance locations. Ensure any trends are identified, generate effective resolution, or sponsor escalation to management, as appropriate. Works with management to identify, deliver and implement shorter-term improvements in order to overcome non-compliance or enhance performance within or across teams.
Lead and coordinate a Technical Services team, such that personnel are developed, utilised and deployed effectively.
Through coaching and mentoring, develops and maximises employee performance and motivates the team in order to meet organisational standards and requirements.
Develops and implements plans, schedules and improvement programmes in order to deliver weekly, monthly & quarterly objectives.
Project manages tasks, balancing risks and opportunities, in order to meet defined outputs and deliverables.
Ensures planning, scheduling, controlling and reporting activities such that progress can be established against budgets and performance criteria.
Would not typically line-manage the subject matter expert Specialists.
At this level is not typically involved in the management and control of costs/budgets.
May be expected to deputise for the Technical Services Manager / CAMSS Manager during normal periods of absence (2-3 weeks).
