Morson Talent are currently seeking an FST Coordinator to join our client in Yeovil, Somerset. This is a permanent position.

Main duties:

  • Control of GOLDesp/MoD Form 700C/F700A Aircraft Documentation for allocated aircraft
  • IAW WMS OP 440.Completing GOLDesp procedures IAW Wildcat Maintenance Support (WMS) OP 408 and JAP(D)100A-0409-01 series publications.
  • Short term maintenance planning using GOLDesp as directed by the Aircraft Controller.
  • Progress MF760 and MF765 in accordance with WMS OP 313 and OP 461.
  • Job planning and the allocation of resources to aircraft, GSE, MHE and Hangar facilities.
  • Trade duties as directed by the Aircraft Controller or Manager.
  • Assist in the Quality Control process for all paperwork generated by Wildcat Base Maintenance (WBM) (QA2) as directed.
  • Compile, submit and monitor progress of Technical Queries (TQs) in conjunction with Aircraft Controller. Assuming all responsibilities and authorisations, up to the technical authorisations within his/her Record of Engineering Authorisations (REA) for airworthiness issues.
  • To hold authorisations to the minimum level required by WMS, this is to include second signature within own trade group as detailed in OP 1103 and IAW individual Record of Engineering Authorisations (REA).
  • Maintain FST planning plot (share Point) and control custody of FST authorisation.
  • Control of GOLDesp/ MoD Form 700C aircraft documentation for allocated aircraft.
  • Liaise with Wildcat FLC engineering regarding tasking.
  • Completing GOLDesp procedures IAW Wildcat Maintenance Support (WMS) OP 408 and JAP (D) 100A-0409-01 series publications.
  • Manage Manpower Planning, allocation of tasking and responsibilities.
  • Progress MF760 and MF765 in accordance with WMS OP 313 and OP 461.
  • Provide the Quality Control process (QA2) for all paperwork generated by FST Maintenance team.
  • Sign and co-ordinate all aircraft documentation up to individual authorisations held within REA.
  • Compile, submit and monitor progress of Technical Queries (TQs)
  • Identify any training requirements for personnel within Forward Support Team and liaise directly with SSM Manager and WMS Training Co-ordinator to achieve them.
  • Maintain technical currency and authorisations through the training program and reading disseminated information.



Desirable/Essential skills:

  • Qualified to at least ONC in aeronautical engineering having served an aviation engineering apprenticeship and have worked as a manager in military aviation engineering with 3rd signature authorisation level experience for at least 2 years, or (where no ONC or equivalent is held) with relevant experience to 3rd signature level authorisation, with a minimum 5 years' experience.

  • A full understanding of all aspects of Military aircraft engineering and documentation.

  • A full understanding of Military aircraft operation in base and field locations.

  • Current and competent in the use of GOLDesp.
