Job Description

To manage and lead the Operations & Maintenance Utilities team, including a 24/ 7 out of hours Help Desk facility. Provide support to the Prime Duty Holder and Hard FM Manager for the safe operation of the electrical network including high and low voltage (HV/LV) and steam distribution and supply. To safely deliver planned and reactive maintenance across PNB and associated outstations.

Core Duties

Operational management and delivery of HV and LV utilities services.

Operational management and delivery of Steam distribution.

Operational management of teams providing Mechanical, Electrical and Plant maintenance (Planned and Reactive).

Provision of an out of hours Help Desk.

Ensure team work 'Unquestionably' Safely, adhering to all SHE standards and contributing to the Client's ISO accreditation.

Host audits for ISO accreditation.

Preparation of quotations and allocation of resources for out of scope works.

Meet customers' expectations, delivering Services' utilities outputs to time, cost and quality.

Manage personnel and material resources within delegated and approved budget.

Provide subject matter expertise to internal and external customers.

Develop "Spend to Save" Investment proposals.

Qualifications/ Experience

HND/HNC or equivalent should be in an appropriate engineering discipline.

Experience of working in large, highly complex environments, ideally with a MoD or RN customer.

Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 18001.

Preferably NEBOSH qualified.

PC Literate, with good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Project and Outlook and PowerPoint.

HVAP experience / qualification beneficial, but not essential.

Experience in managing multi-disciplined teams.

Ability to effectively manage conflicting priorities and deadlines, respond positively to tight deadlines.

Demonstrable track record of delivering complex tasks in changing environments.

Customer service experience.

Good understanding of Defence processes and procedures.

Good understanding of Defence Project Management processes and procedures.

Clear understanding of the Naval support environment and Customer base.
