The Flying Clothing Bay Technician reports to the Flying Clothing Bay supervisor and will be an experienced and skilled flying clothing technician undertaking a range of detailed maintenance activities in the flying clothing bay.
The post holder requires a good understanding of the construct of the approved Technical Information set and is competent to work unaided to approved data, maintenance instructions and in accordance with the organisation's Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE).
The post holder should also be able to demonstrate awareness of broader external dependencies and identify areas for continuous improvement.
Undertake detailed maintenance and inspection activities on the Aircrew Flying Clothing components. Assuring work carried out has been completed in accordance with the SOW/Work package using the relevant approved technical information. Resolving faults and maintenance issues, including an awareness of configuration management
Undertake and complete tasked maintenance & diagnostic activities on the Aircrew Flying Clothing components which may include, as appropriate, component removals, inspections, repairs, modifications, fault rectifications, replacements and/or functional/system test, AD Embodiments following modification
Demonstrates a flexible and proactive attitude to carrying out responsibilities appropriate to the role and takes direction appropriately
Maintain personal task competencies for working on components in accordance with regulatory requirements
Progress reporting against delivery targets to supervisor
Undertake support tasks within the Flying Clothing Bay facility, which are required to maintain compliance with the MOE and regulatory procedures (e.g. oversight checks, control of tooling/test equipment etc.)
Undertake fault evaluation and raise ad hoc work cards for 'found faults' during maintenance
