Morson Talent are currently seeking a Fleet Planner to join one of our clients in Yeovil for a 6 month contract which has the view with moving to Norway for a contract period.

Our client has a contract with the Norwegian Ministry of Justice and Public Security to supply and support the new AW101 Norwegian All Weather Search And Rescue Helicopter (NAWSARH). As part of this programme, the company have established a multi-discipline in-country liaison team.
The in-country liaison team shall be responsible for the coordination and delivery of Integrated Logistical Support (ILS) elements on behalf of the company to ensure Search And Rescue (SAR) Helicopter availability.
Our client is looking for an experienced aircraft technician to fill the role at the Orland SAR Base Norwegian branch. Accountable to the Maintenance Manager, you will be ourc clients point of contact at the SAR Base in relation to all technical matters. You will work closely with both the Royal Norwegian Air Force (RNORAF) maintenance and operations personnel, encouraging integration and a one-team approach in the day to day operation of the SAR Helicopter. You will be expected to assist with all elements of fault diagnostics both on and off the SAR Helicopter.

Key Responsibility Areas
* Responsible on behalf of our client to assist and advise the Ministry on all aspects of the fleet plan
* Contribute to a joint fleet maintenance plan that forecasts withdrawals from, and issues to, the operating fleet
* Assistance and recommendations to the Ministry in planning for the forecast flying rate, scheduled deployments and number of SAR Helicopters at each SAR Operating Base.
* Liaison with the Ministry in respect of maintaining knowledge of operational requirements
* Monitor the maintained configuration of the SAR Helicopters
* Monitor fleet usage in collaboration with the Ministry.
* Provide recommendations to the Ministry where extension to maintenance tasks may be required
* Liaison with the Ministry in respect of maintaining knowledge of operational requirements
* Liaison with our clients Material Planner to ensure maintenance kits are available and meet the necessary key performance indicators
* Ensure that effective communications are maintained between you and the Maintenance Manager, relevant stakeholders and members of your team and ensure that strengths, opportunities, failures and threats to the business are reported in a timely manner.
* Report all issues which are deemed as a risk to the Support and Training Contract requirements, to the Maintenance Manager.
* Direct liaison with the Main Support Base (MSB) and Base Maintenance team
* Assistance to the Ministry in planning of SAR Helicopter maintenance
* Monitor the as maintained configuration of the SAR Helicopters
* Ensure the Information Environment System (IES) holds the relevant as maintained configuration of each SAR Helicopter within the CM database
* Communicate maintenance activities to our clients logistics team ensuring required spares and repairable are identified
* Provide up to date reports to the Ministry management team as requested
* Accountable to the Maintenance Manager
* Ensure all work is conducted in line with the Operating Procedures Manual (OPM) and Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE)
* Correlate individual SAR Helicopter work schedules that AWL is responsible for, aligned with the fleet plan and SAR Helicopter deployment scheduling
* To maintain a flexible approach to supporting the Ministry anywhere in Norway at short notice for extended periods of time and embrace irregular work patterns best suited to the Ministrys need
* Continuous improvement of the Leonardo Helicopters fleet planning / logistics / documentation processes
