Finance Compliance Coordinator; based Crawley; 3 month contract; £14.00ph.
We are looking to recruit a Finance Compliance Coordinator to be based at our clients site in Crawley.
Whilst supporting the Head of Governance Risk and Compliance; as a Finance Compliance and Process Co-Ordinator you are responsible for ensuring the finance function maintains its Internal Controls programme through effective testing and process control improvements.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
Responsible for completing the control checks
Perform risk assessments to understand the level, significance and scope of risk
Monitor compliance with regulations and internal policies
Ensure that your findings are recorded and followed up with management so that issues can be rectified
Educate team members on the regulations and the impact to the organisation if these are not complied with
Investigate irregularities and non-compliance issues
Report back to business functions on current risk and compliance performance
Highlight or escalate areas of concern
Collaborate with other departments to create a culture of compliance.
Responsible for ensuring all SAS processes are documented to a similar standard ensuring all are stored in a central repository and linked back to the ICQ and Risk register.
Act as a coordinator within SAS liaising with team leaders to ensure the above is achieved; processes are reviewed regularly and kept up to date.
Ensure there are strong controls and effective consistent practices in the functions performed within the teams. Review and develop operating processes and procedures to achieve best practice' and financial control,
Attend customer meetings and reviews.
Assist in training Finance team members in Chorus 2, ICQ and Team on Line.

Skills and experience
Good understanding of Internal Control concepts
Experienced in delivering projects

Attention to detail
Proficient in the use of Excel
Experience of working in a shared service environment
Experience of Oracle & all Microsoft Office Software
