Our client, a leading ICT provider with an excellent R&D center is seeking a SAW/BAW Filter Staff Engineer to join their dynamic team for the development of next generation RFFE modules. The candidate will be responsible for the design and development of SAW and BAW filters for next generation wireless communications. The candidate will join the Advanced RFFE Module Design team composed of filter designers to perform electro-acoustic modeling, filter design, and device characterization. The candidate will attend and present design reviews demonstrating the full compliance of stringent RF specifications using simulation and measured results. The candidate will interface with system, process and RFIC teams reporting their design progress which would include collecting, tracking and resolving any performance issues.
The candidate must be an expert in SAW and/or BAW filter design. He or she must understand the device physics, has the ability to develop and use advanced modeling techniques to design filters and be able to translate between the model, simulation, physical implementation, and the measured performance of a device:
*The design engineer will design RF acoustic devices employing a variety of state-of-the-art design techniques, including conventional band-pass filters, ladder filters and coupled-resonator (CRF) or dual-mode SAW (DMS) filters
*The design engineer will perform acoustic and electromagnetic (EM) simulations using a combination of commercially available tools as well improve internally developed tools
*The design engineer will layout devices and work with the process engineers to ensure high quality product
*The design engineer will perform device characterization and diagnostics using RF/Microwave test equipment
*The designer is responsible of the continuous improvement of design flow, method and cycle time
A candidate should have a micro/nanoelectronics, physics or materials science and experience or genuine interest on MEMS/ and RF microelectronics. Expertise in micro/nanofabrication processes and material characterization methods is valued. Fluency in English both written and spoken is a requirement.
*MSEE or PhD with an RF / RF MEMS focus required
*5+ years of direct experience in SAW or BAW design required
*Developed SAW / BAW electro-acoustic modeling tools for mass production manufacturing
*Knowledge of RF/Microwave concepts, Wireless Communication, and/or EM simulation (HFSS or equivalent)
*Understanding of microelectronic fabrication and high volume manufacturing
*Detailed oriented and strong problem solving skills.
*Good interpersonal skills and team oriented.
*Must be a self-starter with the ability to make critical decisions and follow projects through to completion.
*Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills required.
