General Description

Morson International is seeking a qualified mid-level control systems engineer located in Phoenix, AZ to join an industry leading Automation company in the Oil & Gas sector. This Control Systems Engineer is responsible for PLC/HMI programming, Omni flow computer configuration, system documentation, factory acceptance testing, and heavy field start-up and commissioning activities.


* 5+ years' applicable work experience, or combination of education and relevant work experience (B.S. in engineering preferred)
* Petroleum, petro-chemical, fluid controls, and measurement are highly preffered
* Strong proficiency programming PLCs (Allen-Bradley preferred), HMIs (Rockwell PanelView/RSView preferred), and flow computers (Omni preferred)
* Solid grasp of P&ID's, control panel wiring drawings, and field wiring diagrams
* Keen sense for troubleshooting E&I wiring
* PLC/HMI programming
* Participates in the development of logic diagrams, cause & effect matrices, and functional narratives
* Attends field verification walkdowns
* Executes factory acceptance testing
* Executes start-up and commissioning
* Facilitates operations/maintenance training
* Keeps the Project Manager informed of changes to scope and deviations from contract
* Travel 50-75% depending on project/client requirements
