Morson Talent are key recruitment partners with UK Power Networks and due to phenomenal growth, we are seeking a Fault Scheduler to join rapidly growing and demanding teams. UK Power Networks are a electricity distribution network with long-term objectives to achieve Net-Zero emissions through their innovative initiatives. UKPN serve the utilities business across London and the South East region, continuing to be a market leader and exponential in growth.
The purpose of the role exists to ensure the safe, and effective scheduling of all direct and contractor field resources - for all work types. Individuals will be working on-site during scheduled hours. Usual working hours would be 7am -3.30pm or 7.30am - 4pm but this can be agreed during the recruitment process. Overtime rates available.
Responsibilities
- Schedule staff effectively in order to keep overtime expenditure to minimum levels.
- Liaise with field staff and update Enmac in a timely fashion to ensure our customers are given up to date information regarding their jobs.
- Ensure that Electricity Guaranteed Standards are adhered to and correctly recorded.
- Safely and effectively schedule staff (direct and contractors).
- Update SAP and Enmac in a timely manner.
- Raise purchase orders when required in a timely manner.
- Ensure that the scheduling systems are updated regularly to ensure there is good visibility of all staff.
- Record annual leave and other absence for all field based staff in the Hub.
- Liaise with contractors to ensure compliance with section 73 of the Street Works Act.
- Manage stand-by rosters on a weekly or daily basis working closely with Field Staff Supervisors to ensure the rosters are robust.
- Manage work loads efficiently and to time.
- Active participation in Individual Performance Review sessions with your Line Manager.
- Attendance at monthly Face 2 Face Briefings.
- Management of days lost through sickness.
- Management of days lost through accidents.
- Management of non-lost time accidents.
Skills & Experience
Essential -
- Self motivated, with a strong drive to succeed.
- Previous scheduling or helpdesk experience in any industry.
- Ability to build good working relationships with other staff and other teams within UK Power Networks and external partners.
- Thrive in a team environment and effectively collaborate.
- Strong organisational and listening skills and good attention to detail.
- Demonstrate and possess strong leadership skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Flexibility to work additional hours when required.
Desirable -
- City & Guilds Level 3 2339 (formally 2322) certificate in electrical technology engineering
- A basic understanding of the Network and the various types of jobs undertaken
- Experience in using systems such as SAP, Ops, Wall chart/MRS, Attendance Databases
NOTE: This is a 12-month contract and we are seeking individuals who are immediately available or contracts due to finish within a matter of weeks. Permanent opportunity available after initial contract period for the right candidates.
