We are looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician for our business. As part of a dynamic, critical support services team for a FTSE 250 company the role description is set out below and includes but is not limited to the following duties & responsibilities
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Routine preventative and corrective maintenance and repair on equipment, building systems, central utilities and facility components and structures.
Responsible for in depth or complex work including installing, operating, and maintaining all equipment and components that support the facility.
Trouble shooting problems in the event of mechanical failure of equipment and recommending necessary parts for effective repair.
Perform periodic building inspections following a checklist format and recording a schedule to proactively identify maintenance.
Perform general mechanical equipment maintenance and repair. Trouble shoot problems in the event of mechanical failure of equipment and recommend parts needed for the effective repair
Assist Business Services Manager with delivery of office rejigs and moves ensuring the needs of the business are met
Assist all colleagues as needed in performing all duties as assigned
Work on assignments that are complex in nature where judgment and initiative are required to resolve problems and make recommendations.
Working effectively with contractors and assist Business Services Teams to deliver all associated work and projects
Minimum Education Requirements:
Electrical bias preferred, Certificate in Electrical or Technical Courses
Basic IT skills including Outlook, Internet Explorer, Capability to Utilize Various Programs Developed for Day to Day Operations & Speciality Maintenance PM Software.
Relevant work experience at an entry/intermediate level.
Has an understanding of plant/ systems and able to demonstrate knowledge of said systems.
Demonstrable experience of working within a customer service environment, communicating effectively with colleagues and end users
Full knowledge of the role.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to identify and solve technical problems.
Able to prioritise and organise own workload
Self-motivated and able to demonstrate own initiative.
Previous experience in the aviation industry is desirable
