External Reporting Manager: 6 Month FTC: London/Ipswich or Bristol based (with remote working available for the foreseeable): Paying £550 per day

Morson are supporting our international client in their search for a skilled External Reporting Manager. Reporting into the Senior Manager for Commercial Planning & Delivery, the External Reporting Manager will provide insightful reporting to enable informed decision making, ensuring that appropriate processes and governance are in place to provide the right level of controls to enable information to be shared across Service Platforms.

The External Reporting Manager will establish a rigorous and consistent Project Accounting process across all their Delivery Portfolios to enable the provision of accurate & timely financial information pertaining to all projects contained within their Annual Plan.

Additional role responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Removing financial complexity for PM's to enable TLD to meet efficiency targets,
  • Development and implementation of a Project Accounting Template across Service Platforms
  • End to End Process simplification
  • Monthly Reporting processes established
  • Rate card Principles Documented
  • RACI Documented across Service Platforms
  • Baseline Resource EBITDA by Activity per OUC
  • Resource EBITDA Control Process Documented
  • Resource recovery principles documented to enable identification of EBITDA reduction opportunities
  • Enabling the adoption of the MFB programme across Service Platforms

A strong background in operational finance, ideally with experience in leading transformation programmes and finance projects, is required in this role as well as the following skills/attributes:

  • An organised, methodical and detail orientated approach to work, coupled with a strong understanding of incoming funding and how you manage the spend/costs throughout the year
  • Strong Negotiation and Stakeholder Management skills
  • Experienced in creating a variety of reports that are useful, accurate and unambiguous
  • Solid commercial acumen, demonstrating a high level of awareness in business strategy and the drivers of organisational performance, financial literacy (e.g. business KPIs, business cases)
  • Strong track record of managing budgets
  • Substantial risk management experience, able to highlight and manage risks at all levels
  • Experience of managing suppliers and vendors is desirable
