Engineering Export Controller; Based in Christchurch, Dorset,12 month Contract; 37 hours per week; £14.38 ph paye.
We are looking to recruit an Engineering Export Controller to work with our client BAE Systems at their Christchurch site.
As an Engineering Export Controller you will report to the Export Control Coordinator and Engineering Manager as applicable. Your responsibilities will include ensuring all materials have the required supporting documentation and have followed the required mandated export control processes. You will also be required to help in diagnosing and solving export control reported issues, support any audit activities and develop ongoing process improvements.
As part of the team you will be expected to work closely with other team members, as well as providing support to other teams such as business winning, development, test, and support teams.
Key Responsibility Areas
Exercise discretion and independent judgement in the performance of duties set forth above.
Familiarity with Export control and ITAR rules and regulations
Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Exhibit sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating and negotiating with company personnel.
Use computer skills in particular MS Office packages in particular Excel, to prepare appropriate reports, briefings, presentations and documents.
Make informed decisions using sound judgement while complying with policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations
Provision of realistic estimates for specified activities, accurately report on progress and complete work to a high standard
You will be comfortable working individually and within a team environment with strong communication, interpersonal & documentation skills. You will have the willingness to adapt to the variety of tasks within the project. It will also be beneficial that you are flexible in your working hours and willing to work off site.
