We are currently searching for a Lead Expediting Engineer for our client to work on the Baltic Eagle Windfarm project. This can be based in Madrid or Berlin but will include frequent visits to the team in Madrid.

Candidates will need to have extensive experience of the planning/procedures of Offshore Wind Farms and Onshore/offshore substations. Extensive knowledge of Wind Turbine projects and associated costing.

Expediting service has to identify the potential bottlenecks in any supply of the project and threats to avoid costly delays and liability penalties.
Expediting activities used to include, but are not limited to:
Project support and monitoring, expediting service shall have a comprehensive support along the entire supply chain, supporting in the supplier's selection including follow up on major project milestones and deadlines.
Production control, Monitoring production progress, manufacturing schedule, supplier workload, and
identifying areas of concern. Expediting service inspect manufacturers and assess manufacturing
production plans and capacity.
Progress reporting, Verification of contractual conditions and actual project status which are being plan and reported accordingly to project managers.
Field expediting, On-site third-party inspection, project support and expeditor review of actual order status.
We also assure safe and correct loading, shipment and discharge at any location to ensure that the
package receive proper and undamaged goods and materials. Also supervise and monitor all construction site activities
Desk expediting, Offsite monitoring of order progress at specific milestone points.
The awarded Consultant / Contractor shall be sufficiently skilled and competent to deliver the services defined below to provide the Expediting service for Baltic OWF project.
Manage all Expediting visits for Offshore Windfarm packages (MEQ, OSS, IAC, FOU, FIE's & WTG).
Monitor & Expedite the manufacturing of MEQ and Subcomponents (Main transformer, Shunt Reactors,
GIS HV/MV, PCMs...)
Monitor & Expedite the components of OSS (Heavy Steel Supplies, HVAC, FiFi, Cranes,...)
Monitor & Expedite the IAC cable manufacturing and subcomponents (FO, Power Cores, CPS...) and
FIES to be delivered to another OWF packages (Bell-mouths, messenger lines...)
Monitor & Expedite the production of FOU FIEs (Pile grippers, CMS, Navs radar, etc.)
Monitor & Expedite the production of WTG components (Towers, Nacelles, blades) and FIEs to be
delivered to another OWF packages (Service cranes, Aux. Navs Systems, electrical components)
On general,
Plan and report all Expediting visits according Package/Expediting manager instructions.
Control of the manufacturing status of the different components at factories in relation to the production plans, evaluating critical points which could affect the production and consequently the delivery times of the project
Monitor and expedite the Purchase Orders for the component of the key suppliers.
Collect all information requested and update the tracker files of the supplies.
Verification and control of freight forwarders and transport companies. Manage the communications with project forwarder.
Monitoring and support the package for any Transport issues (revision transport plan, transport follow
ups, permits...)
Attend any Inspection or meeting of different OWF packages, on behalf of the employer as required.
Control of the fulfilment of the equipment packaging and sea fastening process according to the
applicable procedure.
Manage the site Interface with Marine Warranty Surveyors, and issue the Shipping release on behalf of the employer, as required.
On general, plan and arrange any travel required to carry out the expediting/ Inspections works.
