Brand New Role!
We have just received an exciting new contract opportunity from a major client of ours located in Basildon. They are currently looking for an experienced Legal Professional to join them as an Ethics & Compliance Officer on a 12 month contract.
This key role will maintain and support the creation of a consistent plan to promote an Ethics suite and programme for the whole company. Providing support to the LCC team and assisting the management in putting forward Ethics initiatives and collect all documentation required to update the Ethics positioning of the Company, with a view to supporting an IS37001 accreditation.
Key Responsibility Areas
-Collaborate across the company (all Divisions) to create various ethical documents such as a "Code of Ethics"
-Support the manager in ensuring that the new document suite retires historical and any duplicating documents across all Divisions.
-Solicits feedback from the operational business (possibly utilising surveys) to ensure that new Ethical initiatives are becoming embedded into the organisation to monitor performance and effectiveness of the Ethical activities.
-Supporting the manager and the team in running new Ethics and Compliance initiatives to improve and promote Company culture.
-Provides support to the LCC management team with the provision of stats, collation of data as and when required on Ethical and non-Ethical matters.
-To interface and provide operational support to the Business Compliance, Trade Compliance and Corporate functions as required
-To provide direct support to the Ethics Committee
-Supports BC auditing activities as required in this area, including overseeing and implementing certain actions following audit recommendations (external and internal, e.g. Good Corporation" report).
-Oversees and promotes the "ABCF"
-Supports the promotion, creation and launch for the introduction of Ethics Ambassadors across LMW Ltd
Skills, Qualifications & Knowledge Required
-Degree qualified in law and/or experience in the ethics and compliance field
-Experience of working towards IS37001 accreditation
-Sound knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
-Pragmatic and flexible approach to tasks
-Good attention to detail and analytical skills
-Good understanding of business issues and eager to work in an international environment
-Strong interpersonal and team working skills
-Ability to communicate clearly, both written and orally
-Ability to work to tight deadlines
