We currently have a vacancy for an Environmental Control Engineer

based in Ankara, Turkey, the opportunity is on an initial 2 years fixed contract basis

Would you like to provide engineering expertise in environmental control and icing protection systems to design and develop an air vehicle in conjunction with Turkish Aerospace to meet programme, business and customer requirements?

We currently have an exciting vacancy for an Environmental Control Engineer working with our highly experienced team in the cosmopolitan city of Ankara, Turkey

Within this role you will be responsible for environmental control and icing detection/protection systems through to preliminary design maturity. Accountable to the Vehicle Systems Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead.

Your main responsibilities as an Environmental Control Engineer will involve:

Provide knowledge, experience, direction and best practice from BAE Systems to work with Turkish Aerospace to jointly achieve programme

Design and develop environmental control (air cooling, liquid cooling, cabin pressurization) and icing detection/protection systems including:-

o Requirements capture and management.

o Architecture definition, trade studies and specification.

o Supplier selection, management and equipment engineering.

o System analysis, safety analysis, modelling and simulation.

o Systems integration at Air Vehicle level; Interface with Airframe Design.

o Qualification, certification and verification planning.

o Support development of plans, programmes and statements of work.

Deliver work to agreed time, cost and quality. Report progress and raise issues to manager

Lead and contribute to meetings and present work to customer, management and other stakeholders

Your skills and qualifications:

Experience of several phases of the Product Lifecycle, particularly early life cycle

Experience of supplier management

Ability to apply significant engineering judgement to solve problems

Ability to be creative and innovative

Effective people management skills

Effective communication and collaborative team working.

BSc/BEng (Hons) qualification or equivalent

Knowledge of relevant engineering standards (including safety and environmental regulations).

Experience in modelling software tools such as Matlab/AMESim is desirable.
