Due to continued growth, our successful client has a number of vacancies for skilled Electronics Assembly Technicians.
The successful candidates role and responsibilities will include:
Component forming and PCB population.
Conventional and Surface Mounted Technology (SMT) soldering, including light soldering
or wiring and brush assemblies.
The inspection of PCB boards.
Cable and wiring dressing of electro-mechanical assemblies.
Hand crimping and terminating.
Cable and loom assembly.
Use of automated crimp machine.
Harness and loom building in units.
Assembly of electro-mechanical products, including sub-assemblies and PCB boards.
Pre-testing of components, PCB's and sub-assemblies.
Mechanical assembly of components and fixings.
Understand and be able to read technical drawing specifications and follow assembly
instructions as required.
Assisting R&D with new product development as and when required.
Skills and attributes required will be:
Experience of working within a production line environment, with specific experience of mechanical assembly.
Good manual dexterity and good attention to detail.
Preferably trained to IPC J Standards, though training would be given.
Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as part of a team.
Good communication and skills, both written and oral.
Strong understanding of the importance of quality and working to quality and Company procedures and processes.
Enthusiastic to increase knowledge and develop new skills.
Flexible, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and work as required by the Company to meet customer requirements.
Flexibility to work in all departments as and when required to fulfil business needs.
Reliable, punctual and flexible, to work overtime to suit the business needs as required.
