Electronics Engineer x2

Location: Rugeley, Staffordshire

Duration: 6 months

Rate: Up to £44.64 per hour LTD

Our client who specialise in the design, manufacture and supply of novel power dense, high integrity electronics seeks two Electronics Engineers.

Key responsibilities

The role has responsibility for a wide range of engineering activities covering all stages of the engineering lifecycle; from concept through to verification and validation of production systems. The role will be within a multi-disciplinary team to develop electronic solutions that successfully meet with the overall objectives of the project.

Responsibilities include:

  • Analogue and Digital circuit design and Analysis
  • Selection and assessment of components
  • PCB Layout design and supervision including the use of tools for schematic capture and circuit simulation
  • Power supply design
  • Design for EMC
  • Analysis and review of analogue & digital circuits


Proven Ability / Key Skills

  • Rapid learner, flexible and adaptable engineer willing to undertake varied tasks related to the design of the electronics and surrounding system
  • An understanding of processes and techniques applicable to high integrity design
  • Proven ability using simulation tools such as Spice etc.
  • A proven track record of product design and verification in a relevant environment
  • Analogue design

  • Schematic capture
  • Circuit simulation
  • Wiring definition knowledge


  • Broad knowledge of other areas of engineering (e.g. systems, mechanical, motors, etc)
  • Power Electronics
  • Development Software (VB, LabView, C, C++)

  • Schematic capture


Due to the sensitive nature of the product all applicants must have worked within the Defence / Military industry within the last 12 months or be capable of obtaining Security Clearance (SC level minimum).
