Our Client has a requirement for a number of Electrical Manufacturing Engineers to join their team. This is a 12 month contract and is to work in their state of the art offices based in Samlesbury

Job Purpose:

Primarily responsibility will involve interpreting approved design data, drawings and instructions and translating these into detailed build instructions for use by approved operators. However, the role will also cover all aspects of supporting the production of aircraft build, including electrical looms, components, amalgamations, racks and panels, assemblies and installations. The applicant will also need to have experience and knowledge directly relating to the toolsets, methods, standards and processes used in an electrical production environment.

Key Responsibility Areas

The areas of skills and responsibilities are:

Must be able to translate design information in the form of CAD models, BOM, circuit drawings, material and manufacturing process specifications into repeatable processes as part of the Manufacturing Engineering process ensuring the original design intent is met.

Must be able to efficiently structure manufacturing build instructions using SAPCAMS planning tool or equivalent electronic planning aid

Must have good IT knowledge and skills and be familiar the Microsoft Office applications

Must understand and respect configuration control requirements

Have experience off or understanding of circuit and loom planning

Understand concessions and permits processes

Understand and respect change control mechanisms

In depth knowledge of testing and inspection principles (e.g. DITMCO)

Competent and methodical with problem solving skills

Knowledge & Experience

The applicant should typically be educated to HND or have completed a Craft/Technician Apprenticeship with experience in an Electrical Manufacturing Engineering role:

Must have experience of Electrical production planning/ support role and able to interpret electrical drawings, standards and processes.

Must have experience and proficient with the use of Microsoft office suite.

An understanding of SAP/Catia/BCAPE/WDMS/EDSRS/DPDS would be an advantage.

An understanding off or able to use/ programme DITMCO would be an advantage.

Excellent communicator combined with good people/ team management skills.

Able to encourage and Influence at all levels of the organisation.

Demonstrate drive to challenge and Improve processes and working practices
