Due to an increase in workload my client is looking for an electrically biased maintenance engineer to join their manufacturing team in Fareham

The applicant will be joining a developing team who are building on both experience and training to implement a total productive maintenance (TPM) platform. The applicant should expect the role to challenge them positively, they will work autonomously and be a key player in the development of industry best practices within the business. The applicant will carry out maintenance functions throughout the business including relocation of equipment and value streams, continuous improvement (CI) activities, installation / upkeep of all electrical systems and new process development.

Main Duties:

1. Proactively complete general electrical repairs and installation

2. General site wide maintenance functions

3. Responding to electrical breakdowns across the site. Diagnosis through application of practical problem-solving skills, developing long term solutions preventing future breakdowns

4. Maintain all electrical services and equipment to relevant H&S requirements

5. Work closely with contractors on key projects, advising and supporting as required

6. Generation and implementation of improvement ideas

7. Develop and follow company planned preventative maintenance procedures

8. Work maximum 1:3 weeks on a late shift

9. Be an active member of the maintenance weekend call-out rota (1:6 weeks)

1. Develop themselves with support from management and colleagues

2. Ensure health and safety protocols are adhered to at all times

3. Have an open-minded approach to new techniques and technologies

4. Support colleagues in their development

5. Develop systems with the maintenance team supporting TPM

Candidates will need:



17th/18th Edition Regs.

Strong interpersonal skills

Detailed understanding of the polyphase systems and earthing

H&S Awareness

Ability to work well under pressure

Strong work ethic
